[sc:Other240banner ]A salty free-throw shooting and a bit of bad luck towards the end of the game has caused the Clippers to lose to the Brooklyn Nets on Monday, 102-100. It was Lob City’s second loss in their past three games. Chris Paul and the rest of the Clips now look forward to getting back to their winning ways when they travel to Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland to face the rolling Cavaliers, who are on an 11-game win streak.
The Cavs are coming off a 97-84 victory over the lowly Philadelphia 76ers, also on Monday, with Kyrie Irving’s 24 points pacing the team. The Clippers are 8-7 ATS after a loss thus far this season. The Cavs, meanwhile, are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 home games against Los Angeles.
Writer’s Prediction
Cleveland wins, 107-102.
Anaheim Ducks vs. Nashville Predators (8:00 PM ET)

The Bridgestone Arena in downtown Nashville has been a very bad host to visiting teams. Thus far this season, the Preds have an impressive 20-2-1 record in that arena and are currently on a nine-game winning streak there. In their most recent home game, the Preds preyed on the Toronto Maple Leafs, 4-3, on Tuesday. Don’t expect the Ducks to come into tonight’s game feeling jittery, though, After all, they are 3-0 in their last three games there, which includes their 4-3 shootout victory on January 4.
Writer’s Prediction
Nashville wins, 3-2.
