NBA Monday night won’t have any shortage of action and stars when John Wall tries to lead the Wizards past Kemba Walker and the Hornets, while Russell Westbrook and Gordon Hayward go at it in Salt Lake City for what’s bound to be a down-to-the-wire Western Conference showdown between the Thunder and Jazz.  Read on below for a quick look at both matchups, the best games of the night.

Washington Wizards vs. Charlotte Hornets (7:00 PM ET)

Line: Washington Wizards (+4) vs. Charlotte Hornets (-4); total: 213.5 – view all NBA lines

A buzzer-beating tip-in from Marcus Morris snapped Washington’s four-game run on Saturday night, 113-112. The Wizards, despite the loss, had seven players score in double figures, including all of their starters with John Wall 19-point, 10-assist output leading the way. He’ll need everyone to get it going again for tonight’s stop in Charlotte, where the Hornets have won their last three games. And during that stretch, Kemba Walker’s been superb with averages of 23.6 points and 6.3 assists per contest while shooting 53.1% from the field.

The Wizards won the first meeting this season back at the Verizon Center, but they’ve lost six of their last eight trips to Charlotte while also going 3-5 against the spread in that stretch.

Writer’s Prediction

Charlotte wins and barely covers.

Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Utah Jazz (9:00 PM ET)

Line: Oklahoma City Thunder (+6) vs. Utah Jazz (-6); total: 203.0 – view all NBA lines

OKC’s first visit to Salt Lake City this season was forgettable to say the least. The Thunder were blown out by 20 points while nothing basically went their way on both ends of the floor, excluding Russell Westbrook’s 27-point performance. They were also playing without their second-leading scorer—Victor Oladipo—at the time. But with him part of the equation now, Oladipo and Westbrook should cause serious trouble for Utah and help OKC snap a two-game slide.

That appears unlikely, however. The Jazz are singing to the tune of a six-game winning streak, and are 8-2 SU and 5-5 ATS in their last 10 games at home.

Writer’s Prediction

Utah wins but doesn’t cover.
