A win tonight for the Penguins would give the franchise its second Stanley Cup title in seven years. They will look to accomplish that later at home, where Pittsburgh is 6-4 in its last 10 games there. The Penguins won Game 4, 3-1, with Evgeni Malkin finally having a breakout game in the series, netting a goal and recording an assist. As for the Sharks, they have nowhere to go but up. San Jose need to win on the road to keep its title hopes alive. The Sharks are 2-2 in their last four away from SAP Center.Writer’s Prediction

The Nationals and the White Sox play the last of a three-game series at U.S. Cellular Field later tonight. The Nationals will have Gio Gonzalez (3-4, 3.94 ERA) pitching tonight. Gonzalez hasn’t won in three starts so he’ll come in with a bit more urgency. The Nationals are 4-3 in Gonzalez’s last seven road starts. Chicago will counter with Miguel Gonzalez (0-1, 3.93), who will replace Carlos Rodon. Rodon is dealing with a neck ailment that forced the White Sox to sit him.
