[sc:NHL240 ]The Tampa Bay Lightning grabbed a 2-1 lead in their best-of-seven series with the Chicago Blackhawks after a heart-stopping 3-2 win in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final on Monday night. Ryan Callahan, Ondrej Palat and Cedric Paquette scored the goals for the Lightning who regained home-ice advantage in this series.
The win wouldn’t be possible, though, without the heroics of goalkeeper Ben Bishop. The 28-year-old made 36 saves in a gutsy Game 3 performance after he was deemed questionable going into the night. For the Blackhawks to even the series in Game 4, they need much better performances from Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews. They have not scored a single goal in this year’s Stanley Cup Final. Kane, in particular, has not scored a single point in this series thus far.
The total has gone under in Chicago’s last five home games against Tampa Bay.
Writer’s Prediction
Chicago wins, 3-1, to level the series at two games apiece.
Kansas City Royals vs. Minnesota Twins (8:10 PM ET)

The Kansas City Royals stretched their unbeaten run to three games with a 2-0 victory over the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday. They will look to complete the series sweep when they square off with the Twins in the final game of their three-game set later tonight. Starting for Kansas City this evening is Edinson Volquez (4-4, 3.26 ERA). He struggled in his last outing against the Rangers as he allowed four runs on six hits in 5.1 innings of action in the Royals’ 4-0 loss to Texas.
The Twins, on the other hand, will counter with right-hander Kyle Gibson (4-3, 3.00 ERA). The Twins have won two of their last three games with Gibson as their starter. Gibson gave up five runs on six hits in seven innings of work in Minnesota’s 10-5 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday.
The Twins are 2-3 in their last five home games against the Royals.
