Duke Blue Devils vs. Florida Gators (9:30 PM ET)

Line: Duke Blue Devils (6.5) vs. Florida Gators (-6.5) – view all NCAAM line

Duke, as usual, is riding high. Grayson Allen, Luke Kennard, Frank Jackson, and Amile Jefferson are all averaging 15 or more points, and they are powering the Blue Devils into having the 21st-ranked PPG average in the country. With five-star freshman Marques Bolden back, coach Mike Krzyzewski’s team is even scarier. The big man returned to action in their recent game and had seven points and five rebounds in just 12 minutes of action.

The 7-1 Florida Gators, meanwhile, will have their first real road game this season (first game outside Florida). In stepping into an arena with one of the rowdiest crowds in all of sports, facing arguably the most respected college basketball programs ever, head coach Michael White and his boys are in for their toughest test to date.

To score the upset, the Gators have to be better in shooting. They are just making 44  percent of their shots while going up against a handful of nobodies. If they don’t make the necessary improvements, Duke, who only allows opponents to shoot 39.6 percent, will run past them with ease. The Gators’ their three leading scorers – KeVaughn Allen, Canyon Berry, and Devin Robinson – will have to take it to the defense right from the get go.

Duke wins, 88-78.

San Antonio Spurs vs. Minnesota Timberwolves (8:00 PM ET)

Line: San Antonio Spurs (-4) at Minnesota Timberwolves (+4) total: 206.0 – view all NBA lines

The Spurs are one of the hottest teams in the NBA, having won 12 out of their last 13 games. Kawhi Leonard is continuing to answer the call to be the number one man in San Antonio, posting 24.1 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game. Through Leonard, LaMarcus Aldridge and Pau Gasol’s inside presence, the team has a sixth-ranked offense, while also allowing the fourth fewest PPG, with a 98.2 average.

The Timberwolves, on the other hand, have been reeling with an abysmal 6-14 card. Considering, though, that they are filled with youngsters with an endless supply of athleticism and scoring ability from almost everyone, they could be better as the season goes along.

Minny’s three-headed monster of Andrew Wiggins, Karl-Anthony Towns, and Zach Lavine, who combined for 65-plus points and probably a dozen highlight plays per game, will have a fascinating matchup with the Spurs’ great defense.
