Betting on the Buffalo Bulls (26-8)

Buffalo got in thanks to a title run in the Mid-American-East Tournament, beating Toledo in the finals,  76-66. Arizona can’t underestimate Buffalo because the Bulls are a confident team that will not hesitate to engage the Wildcats in a shootout anytime the opportunity presents itself. Buffalo is a high-scoring team that racks up 84.7 points per game on 47.7 field goal percentage. The Bulls are a terrific outside shooting squad, one that makes 9.6 three-pointers per game on 37.2 percent shooting from deep. CJ Massinburg and Nick Perkins operate as a solid tag team. Massinburg make 16.9 points per game, while Perkins put up 16.6. Ayton could also have problems getting rebounds in this game, as the Bull are 18th in the nation in rebounds with 38.8 boards per contest.

Betting on the Arizona Wildcats (27-7)

Deandre Ayton is ready to showcase his talents to a wider audience. For those who’ve seen Ayton work before, though, they won’t be surprised to see the potential top pick in this year’s NBA Draft put up monster numbers against Buffalo. Ayton led the Pac-12 in the regular season in points and rebounds. Ayton averaged 20.3 points and 11.5 rebounds per game, and during the Pac-12 Finals against USC, he scored 32 points and pulled down 18 rebounds in a 75-61 win. Allonzo Trier and Rawle Alkins should also be able to produce for the Wildcats against Buffalo’s defense that allows 76.5 points per game. The Wildcats are scoring 80.9 points per game, and does not have a shortage of skilled scorers, so Buffalo is going to have its hands full this Thursday.
