He’s made one start this year thus far versus the Brewers, allowing three earned runs on six hits in 4.1 innings of a 4-3 home loss way back in April. Nelson made his second start of the season and got tagged with four earned runs on five hits in 4.0 innings of an 8-7 road loss to the San Francisco Giants on Jun. 15. Nelson is 4-2 with a 4.71 ERA in seven starts against Cincy since 2016.

Gray tossed six scoreless innings the last time he faced off with the Brewers. In a 3-0 win in Milwaukee last May, Gray allowed zero runs on five hits while striking out nine hitters. He is 1-3 with a 3.21 ERA in six road starts this season Anderson is 0-1 with a 5.79 ERA over his first three starts this June.

GAME 3
Starters: Luis Castillo (6-1, 2.20 ERA) vs. Jhoulys Chacín (3-7, 5.74 ERA)
Pitching:
Castillo is the best pitcher for the Reds this season, but that didn’t seem to matter to Milwaukee the last time it faced the Dominican hurler. IN an 11-9 road loss to the Brewers on May 22, Castillo allowed four earned runs on five hits in just 2.2 innings. However, he allowed just an earned run on a hit across seven innings of a 1-0 home loss to Milwaukee back in April. Chacin is set to make his first start since after a 10-day designation to the Disabled List. Chacin gave up two earned runs on three hits in 5.1 innings of a 4-3 road win over the Reds on Apr. 2.
Hitting
Yasiel Puig is 10-for-27 in career vs Chacin.

Prediction: Reds win, 4-2.
GAME 4
Starters: Anthony DeSclafani (3-3, 4.43 ERA) vs. Brandon Woodruff (8-1, 3.87 ERA)
Pitching:
DeScalafani picked up a no-decision in last April’s matchup with Milwaukee in which he surrendered just an earned run on three hits across 5.0 innings of a 4-3 home loss. DeSclafani is 2-1 with a 3.79 ERA in eight road starts this season. Woodruff gave up three earned runs on four hits in 7.0 innings of a 6-3 road win over the Houston Astros. That extended the Brewers’ win streak when he is on the mound to nine games.
