The Dallas Cowboys clobbered the Chicago Bears the last time they were on the field, scoring a 49-29 home win before heading into their Week 9 bye. The Green Bay Packers, on the other hand, aren’t exactly doing just as well as the Cowboys. Green Bay has gone winless in five games now, following a 15-9 embarrassing loss at the hands of the Detroit Lions on the road last Sunday. Even though they missed the services of running back Ezekiel Elliott in Week 9, the Cowboys nearly scored 50 points on the Bears. Tony Pollard handled the lead back role nicely, rushing for 131 yards and three touchdowns on 14 carries. Elliott could return in Week 10, but Pollard has shown he is more than enough to handle the work on the ground for the Cowboys, who are averaging 22.9 points per game. Pollard and possibly Elliott can have another huge game coming up against the Packers’ defense which is among the worst against the run. With Aaron Rodgers not playing up to par plus the lack of weapons downfield for Green Bay, Dallas’ defense might already be sniffing success days away from the meeting with the Packers.
The Cowboys are 6-1 against the spread in their last seven road games.
The Packers are in major trouble, as they only have three wins to show after nine weeks of football. Aaron Rodgers faltered against the Lions, passing for 291 yards and a touchdown and three interceptions on 23/43 completions. Aaron Jones seems to hurt his ankle in the Lions game and can be considered questionable to play in Week 10. So, what hope is there for Green Bay to beat the Cowboys? It will go back once gain to Rodgers, who, as bad as he’s played lately, should still have plenty more of great performances left in him and one could show up this Sunday at home versus the Cowboys.
