There is nothing to worry about Dak Prescott. That’s a big takeaway for Cowboys fans from Dallas’ 31-14 win Monday against Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road to secure a ticket to the next round of the NFL playoffs. Prescott passed for 305 yards and four touchdowns with zero interceptions while completing 25/33 passes. He also rushed for a touchdown. The Cowboys’ offense was sensational versus Tampa Bay, which sends a strong message to San Francisco. Dallas finished the regular season fourth in the league with 27.5 points per game – and that’s with Prescott playing inconsistent football. Now, it looks as though Prescott has finally gotten it together, and that means an even higher ceiling for Dallas’ offense.
The Cowboys are 12-5-1 against the spread in their last 18 road games.
Betting on the San Francisco 49ers (-3.5)
Regular Season Record: 13-4
San Francisco blasted the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC Wild-Card Round, as the 49ers eliminated their NFC West division rivals in a 41-23 victory at home. Niners quarterback Brock Purdy is proving to be the messiah of the 49ers after injuries to Trey Lance and Jimmy Garoppolo. The 49ers have yet to lose a game since the rookie began starting games for them. Against the Seahawks, Purdy dissected Seattle’s defense for 332 passing yards and three touchdowns with zero interceptions on 18/30 completions. But he’s hardly the only problem for Dallas. Running back Christian McCaffrey and wide receivers Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk plus tight end George Kittle are all going to be big headaches for the Cowboys. Then there’s San Francisco’s defense which gave up only 16.7 points per game back in the regular season.
The 49ers are 12-2 against the spread in their last 14 home games.
Writer’s Prediction
The Cowboys win, 27-23.
