TV Broadcast: CBS

Betting on the Detroit Lions (5-4)

Point Spread: (-3)

This could be a trap game for the Detroit Lions as they open up as three point favorites against the Chicago Bears. In their recent win against the Cleveland Browns, they gave the fans quite a scare. The Cleveland Browns opened up to a 10-3 lead to finish off the first quarter, but the Lions regrouped and finished what they wanted too.

The Lions would score 35 points in the final quarters to take home the win. Cleveland actually stood tall in this game all the way until the 4th quarter where Detroit would hand them 14 straight points to make this a blowout victory.

Once again quarterback Matthew Stafford and wide receiver Golden Tate were in sync again as Stafford completed 97 of his 249 passing yards to his favorite target. Stafford also threw for three touchdowns and led the offense in that crucial 4th quarter.

Betting on the Chicago Bears (3-6)

Point Spread: (+3)

After impressive wins against the Baltimore Ravens and Carolina Panthers, the Chicago Bears have returned to earth as they are riding a two game losing streak. In their recent loss to the Green Bay Packers, their defense could not stop the mobile quarterback of Brett Hundley along with the running game.

The Green Packers would total 160 rushing yards as they control the game from the start with this lethal running game attack. Chicago tried to have their own running game with Jordan Howard and Tarik Cohen but could not get it going as they finished with 55 yards on the ground.

Chicago relied too much on rookie quarterback Mitch Trubisky as he finished the day with 297 passing yards and a touchdown.

Writer’s Prediction:

A bit of a surprise for some people but the Chicago Bears will win this game. Detroit has a weak running defense as Chicago will control the game all night. The Lions will only stay in this game due to their strong passing game. Pick: Chicago (+3)
