Betting on the Georgia Bulldogs 7-0 (-14)
The Georgia Bulldogs are undefeated this season and are currently in the third College Football Playoff spot. The Bulldogs are scoring over 37 points per game and averaging over 454 yards of offense per game this year.
The Bulldogs continue to win games, largely in part of the Georgia running backs. The Georgia running backs led by Nick Cubb and Sony Michel are combing for 283 rushing yards per game this season. On the defensive side of the ball, the Bulldogs are allowing a 252 yards per games. They are especially good against the run this year, allowing 82 rushing yards per game.
The Bulldogs defense was solid in the win over Missouri, allowing only 59 rushing yards. They feature one of the best defensive units in the entire Country. Georgia is a well-oiled machine both offensively and defensively, and are in first place in the SEC East with a 4-0 record in conference play with four conference games remaining.
Betting on the Florida Gators 3-3 (+14)
The Florida Gators are 3-3 this year. Sitting at .500 ball, the Gators head coach Jim McElwain and some of his players have been receiving death threats because of the teams recent play.
The Gators did have success on the ground in the loss, accumulating 242 yards with Malik Davis leading the way with 97 yards. The freshman running back is off to a promising start to his collegiate career, amassing over 90 rushing yards in five straight games, and is now up to 506 yards on the season. Gators’ leading receiver Tyrie Cleveland did not play in the loss to Texas A&M and is questionable for this contest. The Gators passing game is really struggling which has hurt the Gators offensive production.
Last week, the Gators dropped their second game in a row. This time at home against Texas A&M, 19-17 in Jacksonville. The Gators played well, but two interceptions came back to haunt them in the loss. The Gators defense, did all they could against the Aggies, holding them to under 300 yards of total offense for the game. A lot better than the 354 total yards they have allowed per game this year.
Writer’s Prediction
The Georgia Bulldogs should have no issues moving the ball up and down the field against Florida. Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm has been special this season for the Bulldogs. Expect a big day from Fromm in this matchup. Pick: Georgia (-14)
