Betting on the Kansas State Wildcats (21-10)

The Wildcats ended their regular season campaign on a high note, beating the Baylor Bears on Mar. 3 at home, 77-67, at home. That win came a few days after Kansas State absorbed a 66-59 loss to the Horned Frogs on Feb. 27 in Fort Worth. The Wildcats managed to shoot 47.2 percent from the field in the loss, which is just around their season field goal percentage, but they need to fix their ball security, as Kansas State committed 19 dizzying turnovers in that game. When Kansas State beat the Horned Frogs on Jan. 20 at home, 73-68, the Wildcats shot 52.9 percent from the field and eight three-pointers. Kansas State’s leading scorer, Dean Wade (16.7 PPG), has had success in the two meetings with TCU with a combined total of 44 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists in those games.

Betting on the TCU Horned Frogs (21-10)

Unlike the Wildcats, TCU had a bitter ending to their Big 12 campaign, as the Horned Frogs suffered a 79-75 loss at the hands of No. 12 Texas Tech Red Raiders. That snapped the Horned Frogs’ four-game win streak. That said, they should be able to put up a fight against Kansas State, mostly because of their offense. TCU is averaging 83.6 points per game, 12th most in the nation. The Horned Frogs are also a great three-point shooting team with a 40.0 success rate on their shots from deep. Kansas State is a terrific defensive team, but the Horned Frogs have shown they could also serve the Wildcats a dose of their own medicine. TCU has forced Kansas State to commit a total of 39 turnovers in the past two meetings of these teams.
