The Dodgers have been shaky of late, but they still are an elite team considered as a favorite to win the 2022 World Series. They are coming off a series against the Cleveland Guardians in which LA managed to win just once. Nevertheless, they will have Tony Gonsolin on the mound this Wednesday. The Dodgers have not lost in all of Gonsolin’s last 4 starts, including June 14’s 2-0 victory at home over the Los Angeles Angels. Gonsolin is 8-0 wiuht a 1.42 ERA and 0.82 WHIP this 2022. Then there’s the Dodgers’ offense that is missing Mookie Betts because of a cracked rib but still features the likes of Freddie Freeman, Trea Turner, and Gavin Lux.
The Dodgers are 5-5 in their last 10 games.
The Under is 6-2-2 in the Dodgers’ last 10 outings.
Betting on the Cincinnati Reds (+1.5)
Regular Season Record: 23-43
The Reds are in the middle of a rough stretch, as they have gone 0-4 in their last four games. Before entering the Dodgers series, the Reds were swept by the Milwaukee Brewers in a three-game set in Cincy. The Reds eye to stop their skid when they hand the ball to Tyler Mahle, who is 2-5 with a 4.46 ERA and 1.25 WHIP this season. HE is also 0-3 with a 5.01 ERA in 8 home starts, so far this year. With that kind of form, the Reds’ bats will have to come alive. Brandon Drury has been answering the call consistently for the Reds this season, and over his last 13 games, the third baseman has managed to rack up 5 home runs and 8 RBIs while also hitting .320/.382/.640.
The Under is 2-1 in the Reds’ last 3 games overall.
Writer’s Prediction
The Dodgers win, 6-2.
