The Miami Dolphins are undefeated no more after losing to the Cincinnati Bengals on the road in Week 4, 27-15. That said, this is a team that had also won this season against the likes of the Baltimore Ravens and the Buffalo Bills. On the other side, the New York Jets already have half of the total wins they had in 2021 after just four games this season. Will the Dolphins return to the win column on Sunday? Or will the Jets collect their third win of the season by going back-to-back? Check out our preview of this Dolphins vs Jets game in Week 5 of the 2022 NFL regular season.

Betting on the Miami Dolphins (-3.5)
Regular Season Record: 3-1
As everyone should have heard by now, the Dolphins will not have Tua Tagovailoa on the field in Week 5, which is not surprising considering the punishment his body (or head) has taken of late. In lieu of Tagovailoa will be veteran Teddy Bridgewater for the Dolphins, who are averaging 24.5 points per game this season. Bridgewater is a decent backup with loaded weaponry, as he’ll have at his disposal insanely athletic and speedy wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. Even without Tagovailoa, the Jets should not look insurmountable for Miami.
The Dolphins are 4-1 against the spread in their last five games.
Betting on the New York Jets (+3.5)
Regular Season Record: 2-2
The Jets are coming off a 24-20 road win against the Pittsburgh Steelers last Sunday. It was also the first start of the season for Zach Wilson, who went 18/36 for 252 passing yards and a touchdown against two interceptions. A road against a decent team like the Steelers is a huge confidence booster for Wilson and the Jets, who should have more chemistry on offense when they take on Miami. The Jets’ defense is a bit underrated, as it has already come away with five interceptions – tied for second-most in the NFL.
The total has hit the Over in all of the Jets’ last five October games.
Writer’s Prediction
The Dolphins win, 23-17.
