Betting on the Milwaukee Bucks (+5.5)

Regular Season Record: 51-31

Their loss in Game 4 really stung the Bucks. Getting outscored by 15 points in the fourth quarter has got to hurt for Milwaukee, which got another great performance from Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Bucks will always rely on Antetokounmpo to deliver a big stat line every game, as he did in Game 4 in which he posted 34 points on 14/32 shooting, 18 rebounds, and 5 assists, but their defense needs some screws to be tightened. The Bucks are outshooting Boston in the series; they even had 10 more attempts from the field in Game 4 than the Celtics and were +7 on free-throw attempts. Yet, the Celtics managed to steal a win in Milwaukee in large part because the Bucks could not take care of Al Horford.

That’s a wake-up call for the Bucks, who are 4-1-1 against the spread in their last 6 games overall.

Betting on the Boston Celtics (-5.5)

Regular Season Record: 51-31

Despite missing one key starter in Robert Williams, the Celtics found a way to upset the Bucks on the road. The Celtics caught Milwaukee by surprise, particularly with the performance of Horford, who one-upped his Game 3 performance (22 points) with a huge 30-point outing while also grabbing 8 rebounds to go with 3 assists. He played the Robin to Jayson Tatum’s Batman, with the latter putting up a double-double of 30 points and 13 rebounds, while also dropping 5 dimes in 42 minutes. There’s no word yet at the moment whether Time Lord will be able to see action in Game 5, but with the way Horford is playing, the Celtics seem to be capable of taking care of business in the paint with Horford at the forefront of their frontline.

The Celtics are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games after a day of rest.

Writer’s Prediction

The Bucks win, 109-105.
