Betting on the Milwaukee Bucks (+2.5)

The Bucks clearly have momentum heading into Game 5, having won both games at home in Games 3 and 4. One couple of things that have helped the Bucks turn their fate around other than Giannis Antetokounmpo is the consistent play of Khris Middleton and the team’s defense. Middleton is averaging 20.1 points in this series. He has scored 25.5 points on 61.5 percent shooting from the field. As for Antetokounmpo, the Greek Freak is coming up with 27.8 points an incredible 62.0 field goal shooting percentage. The Bucks have also stifled Boston’s inside attacks, as Milwaukee has a total of 27 blocks in the last two games. It is becoming more and more apparent that the Celtics are having hard time slowing down Antetokounmpo and Middleton, so expect the Bucks to continue feeding the two with the rock. As a team, the Bucks are shooting 54.2 percent from the field these playoffs, the best among all teams that made it to this year’s postseason. The Bucks are 5-5 ATAS in their last 10 road games.

Betting on the Boston Celtics (-2.5)

Terry Rozier is becoming that somebody that Eric Bledsoe used to not know. After scoring 46 points in the first two games of the series, Rozier has seemingly cooled off of late, as he only had nine and 10 points in Games 3 and 4. Both those games were in Milwaukee, so probably a return to Beantown could also signify a return to top form by Rozier. Boston could also get additional help as Celtics head coach Brad Stevens said that the gritty guard is “just a matter of being cleared for live play.” Smart has yet to appear in a game this postseason because of a thumb injury, but should be play this Tuesday, he’ll be a great help to the Celtics’ defense that has allowed Milwaukee to shoot over 54 percent from the field this series. Smart finished the regular season with 10.6 points, 4.6 assists, and 1.6 steals per game. The Celtics are 3-0 SU and ATS in its last three home games against the Bucks.

Writer’s Prediction:

Milwaukee wins, 105-101.
