Betting on the Milwaukee Bucks (odds)

Regular Season Record: 30-17

The Bucks made it rain from long range and defeated the Los Angeles Lakers on the road on Wednesday night, 112-97, and in the process, ending a three-game losing skid. The Bucks went 14 of 26 from behind the arc. Giannis Antetokoumpo abused the Lakers’ defense and powered his way to a 25-point night, going 8 of 13 from the field, while Jrue Holiday had his way with 29 points to go with eight rebounds and six assists. The Bucks’ offense is at its best when the team knocks down their 3-pointers, which they did when they defeated Portland on the road last February, 134-106. Milwaukee drained 21 3-pointers on 42 attempts, with Antetokounpou and Holiday combining for 40 points. Milwaukee is third in the NBA with a 39.2 percent shooting from behind the arc.

The over is 3-1 in the Bucks’ last four road games.

Betting on the Portland Trail Blazers (odds)

Regular Season Record: 29-18

Portland is feeling it. Damian Lillard and the Blazers defeated the Detroit Pistons on the road last Wednesday, 124-101, to extend Portland’s unbeaten run to four games. All four games were on the road for the Blazers, who will finally make their way back home for this game against the Blazers. Portland is not a good covering team when it’s at home this season, as the Blazers are just 9-14 against the spread at Moda Center, so far. That being said, the Blazers are 3-1 ATS in their last four home games and 5-2 ATS in their last seven there. Damian Lillard had 19 points in the February loss to Milwaukee, while Nassir Little came out of nowhere to score 30 points. This time around, the Blazers will have CJ McCollum, who was absent in that loss to the Bucks because of a fractured left foot. McCollum had 24 points in the win over Detroit.

Writer’s Prediction

The Bucks win, 124-119.
