Betting on the Minnesota Vikings (-3.5)

Regular Season Record: 12-8

The Vikings got tripped up by the Green Bay Packers in Week 17, as they lost to Aaron Rodgers and company at Lambeau Field, 41-17. Prior to that, the Vikings beat the Indianapolis in Week 15 and then the New York Giants in Week 16. One thing about the Vikings is that they have yet to lose back-to-back so far this season. Plus, they won the first meeting with Chicago back in Week 5 at home, 29-22. In that game, the Vikings running back rushed for 94 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries, while Justin Jefferson was nearly unstoppable, coming up with 154 receiving yards on 12 receptions and 13 targets.

The Over is 4-0 in the Vikings’ last four games versus teams from the NFC North.

Betting on the Chicago Bears (+3.5)

Regular Season Record: 3-13

Chicago just wants to get a win before the regular season concludes. The Bears are coming off a 41-10 beatdown at the hands of the Detroit Lions on the road in Week 17 to see their losing skid extend to nine games. The last time Chicago won was in Week 7 in Foxborough over the New England Patriots, 33-14. Justin Fields is still a good quarterback who can make noise on the field with his speed and athleticism and he could have just enough gas left to punish a Minnesota squad that has been playing inconsistently of late. Fields had 208 passing yards and a touchdown with zero interceptions on 15/21 passing in the loss to Minnesota earlier this season.

The Bears are 14-5 against the spread in their last 19 home games versus Minnesota.

Bet on the Chicago Bears

Writer’s Prediction

The Vikings, 29-19.
