Betting on the Missouri Tigers (+38)
Record: 4-4 Overall / 1-3 Conference
Missouri recovered from a 35-14 home loss to the Texas A&M Aggies on Oct. 16, as the Tigers won their first game back from a bye in Week 9 against the Vanderbilt Commodores last Saturday, 37-28. Running back Tyler Badie ran all over Vandy’s defense, rushing for 254 yards and two touchdowns on 31 carries. That’s quite a shift in the offensive priority of Mizzou, which was 11th in the nation in rush play percentage prior to the game against the Commodores. In any case, that’s a good sign in terms of having more diverse points of attack for Mizzou, as the Tigers would need to try their best in making Georgia’s stout defense guessing. Mizzou has scored a red-zone score in 21 of its last 22 games.
The over is 8-2 in Missouri’s last 10 games overall.
Betting on the Georgia Bulldogs (-38)
Record: 8-0 Overall / 6-0 Conference
Georgia is still undefeated. The Bulldogs collected their eighth win of the season by trouncing the Florida Gators in a neutral-site game last Saturday, 34-7. Kirby Smart’s Bulldogs have not allowed more than 13 points in any of their games so far this season. After eight games, Georgia now carries an average of 6.6 points given up per contest. Whether the Tigers opt to go pass-heavy or run-dominant in Week 10, they will be facing a defense that’s both top 10 against the pass and on the ground. And then there’s Georgia’s own attack that’s producing 37.8 points per contest. Quarterback Stetson Bennett threw two interceptions against Florida, but the Bulldogs’ should still be fine against Mizzou’s biteless defense.
Georgia is 4-3 against the spread in its last seven home games.
Writer’s Prediction
Georgia wins, 43-13.
