Expert Picks and Predictions for the NASCAR Cup Series Race at Pocono-1 on June 26, 2021
Where: Pocono Raceway
When: Saturday, June 26, 2021, green flag at 3:00 PM ET
Broadcast: ET, NBCSN, TSN2
CBS Sports (Sportsline)
|Martin Truex Jr.
Truex is coming off just a 22nd-place finish in the 2021 Ally 400 at Nashville Superspeedway and isn’t considered as among the favorites to win this weekend. However, Truex has three wins on the season to go with six top 6s. He also has a couple of wins in 30 career NASCAR Cup Series appearances at Pocono Raceway, plus he hasn’t finished outside of the top 10 in any of his past three starts there.
|Long shot pick
Nick Bromberg over at Yahoo Sports thinks that Austin Dillon offers great value relative to his current odds to win this coming weekend. A big reason why he can be a tasty long-shot pick is the fact that he’s currently 11th in the standings with 476. It’s not often that someone in that position gets high odds, so now seems to be a good time to capitalize on the Richard Childress Racing driver. Dillon is +8000 to win the 2021 Pocono Organics CBD 325.
|Kyle Larson, Kevin Harvick
William Blackwell provides a couple of picks, one each for the two races at Pocono Raceway. First up, he has Kyle Larson taking the checkered flag during the 2021 Pocono Organics CBD 325 on Saturday. Larson is smoking right now, as he has won all of the last three NASCAR Cup Series races (and four of five if you count the NASCAR All-Star races). Meanwhile, Blackwell thinks that Kevin Harvick will finally get a win this season with a solid performance at Pocono Raceway. He has the 2020 NASCAR Cup Series regular-season champion as his winner of the 2021 Explore the Pocono Mountains 350.

Here’s what TopBet’s Ryan Simpson said about Kevin Harvick in our preview of the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series Race at Pocono-1:
“Harvick remains winless this year, but he has come close to notching a victory multiple times. That includes his fifth-place performance in the 2021 Ally 400 at Nashville Superspeedway, where he earned 34 points. Harvick could finally break into the win column this coming Sunday, as he’s been fantastic at Pocono Raceway over his past few appearances on that track. He has four top 5s in six races there since 2018. He had a win over that stretch, topping the field during the 2020Pocono Organics 325 in partnership with Rodale Institute.”
