The sophomore running back is due for another big game against a Georgia Tech side allowing 4.7 yards per carry to opposing running backs. However, the Bulldogs must also find a way to stop the Yellow Jackets’ triple option offense after allowing 233 yards and a touchdown to unheralded Georgia Southern last week.
Writer’s prediction: The Bulldogs enjoy some Clean Old-Fashioned Hate as they win and cover -5.
No. 2 Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Auburn Tigers

The Alabama Crimson Tide have won eighth straight games to bolster their chances of making the College Football Playoff. The Tide are currently the No. 2 team in the nation. Top Heisman Trophy contender running back Derrick Henry leads the way with a very solid 1,526 yards rushing this year. He happens to do much better on the road, rushing for a whopping 7.4 yards per carry.
But the Auburn Tigers also happen to have a strong running game. They rushed for a total of 297 yards last week, albeit against Idaho at home. If there’s a matchup to get the Tigers up for another monster game, it’ll be against Iron Bowl rivals, the Crimson Tide. Auburn is 4-1 ATS in its last five home games against the Tide.
Writer’s prediction: Auburn puts on a spirited performance, but still falls short of the win. The Tigers cover +14.5.
No. 18 Ole Miss Rebels vs. No. 21 Mississippi State Bulldogs

Junior quarterback Chad Kelly lifted Ole Miss to a big victory against a former CFP ranked team in the LSU Tigers on Saturday. Kelly passed for 280 yards and two touchdowns. With 34 touchdowns this season, Kelly broke Eli Manning’s school record for single-season passing touchdowns. He was also efficient with his legs with 81 yards and two more scores.
Another quarterback leads Mississippi State—senior Dak Prescott. The Bulldogs signal caller threw for a career-high 508 yards and five touchdowns in a 51-50 victory against the Arkansas Razorbacks. He also scrambled for 46 yards and two scores as a dual-threat quarterback.
Writer’s prediction: Prescott outguns Kelly to lead Mississippi State (+1) to a victory.
No. 13 Florida State Seminoles vs. No. 12 Florida Gators

The Florida Gators remain unbeaten at home, carrying a perfect 5-0 slate into this matchup against fierce rivals the Florida State Seminoles. Florida is coming off a lacklustre win against Florida Atlantic, needing a 13-yard touchdown pass from Treon Harris to win 20-14 in overtime. The Gators face a very balance Seminoles offense, which is averaging 184.3 yards rushing and 251.6 yards passing this season.
Writer’s prediction: The Gators (+2.5) show that they’re no pushovers in an upset victory over Florida State.
No. 3 Oklahoma Sooners vs. No. 11 Oklahoma State Cowboys

Oklahoma is playing for so much more than just the Big 12 title. The Sooners are also playing to keep their spot in the CFP top four as one of the playoff teams this year. Look for none other than quarterback Baker Mayfield to lead the Oklahoma offense. After suffering a head injury last week, Mayfield has passed all tests and is expected to play against Oklahoma State. He’s been stellar this season with 3,209 yards with 33 touchdowns and just five interceptions.
Oklahoma State also has a solid quarterback in Mason Rudolph, who passed for 430 yards and three touchdowns, albeit in a 45-35 loss to Baylor last week. Rudolph has some viable targets in James Washington and David Glidden to lift the Cowboys to a victory.
Writer’s prediction: Oklahoma State takes the Sooners to the wire in a tight home loss. But they manage to cover +7.
