Action Network

Expert 3 Buys
Chris Murphy Daniel Berger, Charl Schwartzel, Will Zalatoris

Chris Murphy of the Action Network watched the action closely at the 2021 AT&T Byron Nelson last week and came away with a list of three players he thinks could make loud noises this week at Ocean Course at Kiawah Island: Daniel Berger, Charl Schwartzel, Will Zalatoris. Berger finished with a T3 at the AT&T Byron Nelson and how has five top 10s in 14 starts this season. Meanwhile, Schwartzel has not missed a cut in all of his last seven starts, making him catch the attention of Murphy. Lastly, there’s Zalatoris, who was a disappointment at the Wells Fargo Championship with a missed cut but restored people’s confidence with a T17 at the AT&T Byron Nelson.

Golf Digest

Expert To-ranked golfer
Daniel Rapaport Jordan Spieth

Daniel Rapaport of Golf Digest is excited over the prospect of Jordan Spieth making a run this week. Spieth had just returned to action after dealing with COVID-19, which forced him to miss starts after finishing the Masters Tournament with a T3. He didn’t look so rusty, though, when he finished with a T9 at the AT&T Byron Nelson. Spieth has cracked the top 10 seven times in 16 starts this season, including his win at the Valero Texas Open.

SportsLine

Expert High on
Mike McClure Daniel Berger

Mike McClure of SportsLine believes that Berger is in for a strong performance at the 2021 PGA Championship. Take away Bergers’ cut at the 2021 Masters Tournament, and he would have gone 6 of 6 in his last six starts, a stretch that featured three top 10s, including a win at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Berger is currently third in birdie average and 10th in greens in regulation percentage.

TopBet News Editor | Ryan Simpson

Expert Pick
Ryan Simpson, News Editor Rory McIlroy

Here’s what our own Ryan Simpson of TopBet News has to say about Rory McIlroy in our preview of the 2021 PGA Championship:

“After winning his first PGA TOUR event in a long while, McIlroy is looking to keep his momentum going when he hits the Ocean Course at Kiawah Island this week. McIlroy, who just won the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow Club earlier this month, has five top 10s and 12 made cuts in 13 starts. McIlroy is sixth this season among all players in terms of birdies per round, 8th in eagles (holes per), and second in driving distance (yards per).”
