Action Network

Expert Pick
Josh Perry Webb Simpson
Bryan Mears Webb Simpson

Perry and Mears of the Action Network are picking a sleeper to win at the Harbour Town. For them, it’s going to be Webb Simpson, who is coming off a disappointing performance last week, as he missed the cut at the Charles Schwab Challenge. Perry points to Simpson’s track record at Harbour Town as his main reason why he thinks the six-time PGA Tour events winner is going to make noise at the 2020 RBC Heritage. Simpson has made the cut in each of his last nine starts at Harbour Town. Mears, on the other hand, likes the course’s fit in Simpson’s style of play. Simpson is second on the PGA Tour in scoring average and tops in birdie average. Simpson is +2800 to win the 2020 RBC Heritage.

CBS Sports

Expert High On
Kyle Porter Patrick Reed, Rory McIlroy, Branden Grace

Kyle Porter of CBS Sports laid out three names to watch out for this week. His pick to win the 2020 RBC Heritage is Patrick Reed, while he believes Rory McIlroy is going to crack the top 10. Porter’s sleeper pick is Branden Grace. Reed, the no. 6 golfer in the world, is coming off a solid showing at the Charles Schwab Challenge last week, finishign with a T7. Reed has made the top 1o five times in nine starts this season.

PGATOUR.com

Expert Pick
Sean Martin Joel Dahmen
Rob Bolton Bryson DeChambeau
Ben Everill Collin Morikawa
Cameron Morfit Bryson DeChambeau
Mike McAllister Hideki Matsuyama
Jason Sobel Hideki Matsuyama

The PGATOUR.com polled six golf experts and two names stood out: Hideki Matsuyama and Bryson DeChambeau, each getting two votes each. Mike McAllister is not letting the lack of experience by Matsuyama prevent him from being high on Japanese pro. Ranked 23rd in the world, Matsuyama is making a return to the season after missing last week’s Charles Schwab Challenge. Matsuyama, who is +2500 to win,  is 13th in greens in regulations percentage and seventh in scoring average.

Collin Morikawa and Cameron Morfit are liking the chances of Bryson DeChambeau, who finished strong at the Charles Schwab Challenge, shooting a 66 in the final round before settling for a T3. DeChambeau (+1200) is no. 1 so far this season in terms of driving distance.

TopBet News Editor – Ryan Simpson

Expert Pick
Ryan Simpson Rory McIlroy

TB News editor Ryan Simpson is confident that Rory McIlroy will be able to recover from his letdown T32 performance at the Charles Schwab Challenge. He assumes McIlroy just had some rust on him, which he needed to shake off before returning to his form. Ryan asks that you remember that in recent play, the Northern Irishman had two top 3s and six top 10s, including a win at the World Golf Championships-HSBC Champions last November. McIlroy is +1000 to win the 2020 RBC Heritage.
