Updated PGA Tour Money Rankings
Not much has changed with this week’s Money Rankings with most of the world’s best golfers skipping last week’s Shell Houston Open in preparation for the Masters. Adam Scott remains on top of the PGA Tour’s money leaderboard with earnings amounting to $4,325,198, the bulk of which came from his tournament wins at the WGC-Cadillac Championship and the Honda Classic.Scott has made a seamless transition back to the short putter this year and that has helped the Australian jump to seventh place in the PGA Tour all-time earnings list. Scott has now pocketed a whopping $43,005,216 in his PGA Tour career. He will look to further boost his career winnings when he tees off at the Masters this week.
The one major change in this week’s money list is the sudden inclusion of unheralded golfer Jim Herman. He stunned golf observers everywhere with his incredible victory at the Shell Houston Open last week. Not only did Herman grab the final ticket to this year’s Masters with that championship win but he also won a whopping $1,711,724. That mammoth cash prize enabled Herman to leapfrog to 17th place in the PGA Tour money list.
The year’s first major golf tournament is on the horizon so expect the PGA Tour’s money-maker list to undergo even more power-shifting next week. As such, keep an eye on all the exciting action at Augusta National this week, where Scott and the rest of the world-class field will lock horns for the right to wear the coveted green jacket.
