PGA Tour Money Rankings, Earnings, and List This Week – February 22-28, 2016

With the Northern Trust Open now in the books, this week’s PGA Tour money leaderboard has seen some notable shake-ups coming from the Tour’s elite golfers that had solid finishes from this past week’s event at the Pacific Palisades.

However, the season’s early big-money-makers still stand atop the overall standings. But it won’t be long until the likes of perennial contenders in Bubba Watson and Dustin Johnson – both hot off stellar finishes at the Riviera Country Club this past weekend – start taking over the upper tier of the rankings in the weeks ahead.

Let’s now take a closer look at the PGA’s money rankings as of the fourth week of February. After this, head on over to our complete preview, sleeper picks, and expert predictions for this week’s Honda Classic at sunny Palm Beach Gardens to be on top of the next golf tournament and for even more sweet betting action.

Updated PGA Tour Money Rankings

The top four golfers from last week’s leaderboard remain where they are this week, but as we mentioned earlier, the Tour’s best golfers are now starting to heat up and will likely occupy the upper echelon of the standings in about a month or two.

One such golfer who made a huge splash at the Northern Trust Open this past weekend was Bubba Watson. Watson claimed his second PGA title of the season on Sunday, which saw his money ranking skyrocket from 76th place right up to the number eight spot. Aussie sensation Adam Scott also saw his stock rise rather significantly after finishing tied for second at the tournament, jumping up 11 places from number 24 to number 13 on the list.

Look out for Dustin Johnson as well, who ended up in fourth place at the Riviera Country Club on Sunday to finally make his debut on the money leaderboard at the 25th spot from number 43 last week. And with the likes of Phil Mickelson and Rickie Fowler set to see some action once more at the Honda Classic this week, expect more of golf’s top names to climb up the rungs of the rankings soon enough.

Meanwhile, World No. 1 Jordan Spieth took a two-spot dive in the standings below after being uncharacteristically cut in last week’s event. Is Spieth saving his best stuff for the Masters at Augusta on April, or will he come away with a solid win sometime this March to get right back on track with his season and in the money rankings?

Tune in to next week’s installment of this column to find out where PGA’s golden boy will then stand as we inch closer towards this year’s first major tournament.
