The Spurs barge into Toronto’s territory missing some key pieces on their roster. Rudy Gay, Manu Ginobili, and Kawhi Leonard have all been declared out ahead of the matchup with the Raptors. That said, the Spurs remain a very dangerous team no matter who are available for them to play because that what they have always been. For one, they have LaMarcus Aldridge, who has been stepping up of late, as he is averaging 25.0 points over San Antonio’s last five games. He scored 34 points and grabbed eight rebounds during Wednesday’s 100-95 road win over the Brooklyn Nets. The 32-year-old big man dropped 20 points in a 101-97 win at home over Toronto back on Oct. 23 of last year.

The Spurs are 5-1 ATS in their last six games against teams from the NBA Atlantic Division.

Betting on the Toronto Raptors (29-13)

Point Spread: (click here)

The Raptors are just different when they are playing at home. They are 16-3 SU in Toronto this season, and the Raptors will look to add more to that record later tonight, as they seek to avenge a loss earlier this season to the Spurs. One of those was a 96-91 hushing down of the Detroit Pistons with C.J. Miles scoring a team-high 21 points on the strength of five three-pointers in 26 minutes off the bench. Despite Miles’ explosion, it’s the pair of Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan, whom the Raptors will be mostly relying on against the Spurs. Lowry must be aching to make up for a paltry eight-point output in the first meeting with San Antonio. DeRozan, on the other hand, had 28 points on 10-of-20 shooting from the field in that game. The Raptors are top 10 in both offense and defense with 112.0 points scored and 104.3 points allowed per game this season. The Raptors are 4-0 ATS in their last four Friday games.
Writer’s Prediction:
San Antonio wins, 108-106.
