Betting on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-3)

The Bucs snapped a three-game losing skid last Sunday, as the upended the Cleveland Browns at home in overtime, by a score of 26-23. That’s thanks in large part to the 59-yard game-winning field goal by kicker Chandler Catanzaro. However, the Bucs headed into the break between Weeks 7 and 8 with some bad news, as they have lost linebacker Kwon Alexander for the rest of the year due to a knee injury. Alexander’s loss is a punch in the gut for the Bucs’ defense that’s been allowing the most points per game this season. The good thing for Tampa Bay is that its offense remains deadly. Jameis Winston issued two interceptions in the loss to the Browns, but he could bounce back against Cincy’s stop unit that has surrendered 297.0 passing yards in its last five games – fifth highest in the NFL over that span.

The over is 3-0 in the Bucs’ last three games on the road.

Betting on the Cincinnati Bengals (4-3)

The Bengals suffered their second-straight defeat last Sunday, as they were undressed by the Kansas City Chiefs’ electrifying offense that barely had any problem moving the chains and finding the end zone. The Chiefs hung 551 total yards on the Bengals with Kansas City quarterback racking up 353 passing yards and four touchdowns. The Bengals’ defense has to show up, but as much as they want their stop unit to stop soiling the bed, they also have to get a more efficient performance from quarterback Andy Dalton, who completed just 15 of 29 passes for 148 passing yards and a touchdown against an interception for a pathetic 63.6 passer rating. Bengals wideout A.J. Green stood out in the game as he caught seven receptions for 117 receiving yards, but Dalton should also look more towards Tyler Boyd’s way. Boyd is a talented youngster but was only targeted four times last week. Dalton should be able to have an easier time slicing through Tampa Bay’s defense, though, as the Bucs are last in the league against the pass.
