Betting on the TCU Horned Frogs (13-3)

The Horned Frogs are one of the few teams in the Big 12 capable of engaging Trae Young and the Sooners in an offensive firefight. Like the Sooners, TCU is a high-scoring team, one that averages 86.9 points per game. Where the Horned Frogs differ with Oklahoma is that their offense is not mostly concentrated on one person. TCU has five players averaging at least 10.9 points per game. The Horned Frogs are being led by the tandem of Kenrich Williams and Vladimir Brodziansky , who are dropping 14.6 and 14.1 points per game, respectively. The 6-foot-11 Brodziansky brings size and range to the table for TCU, and could be crucial in keeping Sooners shot-blocking maestro Khadeem Lattin out of the paint. With plenty of scoring options,TCU could further confuse an already vulnerable defense that allows 80.1 defense, one of the worst in the nation.

TCU is 2-2 ATS in its last four road games against Oklahoma.

Betting on the Oklahoma Sooners (12-2)

We have seen enough of Sooners freshman Trae Young to declare that he is officially out of his damn mind. Just when the No. 8 Texas Tech Red Raiders thought that they have contained Young, the spitfire point guard turned the table on them by dropping 22 of his game-high 27 points in a 75-65 home win Tuesday over the visitors frol Lubbock. Young is the single-biggest driving force of the Sooner this season, as he is leading the nation (!) in points (29.2) and assist (12.3). With Young at the helm of his team’s offense. Oklahoma, which is 3-0 ATS in its last three at home, has managed to become the second-highest scoring squad in the nation with 93.1 points per game. The Sooners have been great in shooting the rock from deep, making 39.8 percent of their three-point attempts with Young nailing 38.9 percent of his shots from long range. Up against TCU’s leaky defense, the Sooners could be in for another huge scoring night.

Writer’s Prediction:

Oklahoma trounces TCU, 88-81.
