With Free Agency nearly behind us and the NFL Draft less than a month away, it’s time to take a look at which clubs have made the most noise so far and who linemakers are considering the favorites to win the next Super Bowl.
Super Bowl Futures Update for 2014 / 2015 Season
[sc:NFL240banner ]Although they missed out on Jared Allen, the Seattle Seahawks still managed to get the nods of linemakers, who have them as the current favorites to win Super Bowl 49 in Arizona next February. The defending champions are priced +550 to win the Vince Lombardi trophy even after losing some of their key championship pieces in the past few months.
Gone are wide receiver Golden Tate and cornerback Brandon Browner, two players who were snagged by other teams from the free agent market. The Seahawks, though, have the acquisitions of defensive end Michael Bennett and the re-signing of tight end Anthony McCoy to make up for the losses. Furthermore, Doug Baldwin is expected to resume wide receiver duties after being offered a $2.2 million deal.
Tied behind the Seahawks in the future odds are the Denver Broncos and San Francisco 49ers, with a price of +600.

Ward, former Dallas Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Ware, and former New England Patriots cornerback Aqib Talib.
Like the Seahawks, San Francisco had a relatively quiet camp during free agency. They did, however, re-sign wide receiver Anquan Boldin to a two-year extension deal and acquired safety Antoine Bethea. With former San Fran CB Carlos Rogers and safety Donte Whitner gone, Bethea will have a lot of responsibilities in 2014 to ensure the 49ers defense remains one of the best in the league.
The New England Patriots follow these teams with a price of +750. A few days after losing Talib, the Bill Bilichick-coached club signed Pro Bowl cornerback Darrelle Revis for $12 million. They also acquired Browner, albeit he will have to serve a five-game suspension. With both Browner and Revis in tow, New England’s secondary becomes one of the most, if not the most, lethal in the NFL. On offense, New England also managed to retain the services of slot wide receiver Julian Edelman.
Another team that made headlines is the Washington Redskins, which signed controversial wide receiver, DeSean Jackson. On top of that, Dan Snyder’s club wasn’t a shy spender during the offseason, shelling out over $110 million in fresh contracts. RGIII’s team has a price of +5000 to win the next Super Bowl, the same as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and slightly below the Carolina Panthers’ +4,000.
AFC playoff teams Indianapolis Colts and Cincinnati Bengals have prices of 2,500 and 2,800, respectively, to win Super Bowl 49. Meanwhile, the Green Bay Packers have a price of 1,500, and the New Orleans Saints have a price of 1,800.
