Quarterback Cameron Rising and running back Tavion Thomas churned out scintillating performances in Week 11 in the Utes’ 42-17 home win over the Stanford Cardinal. Rising passed for three touchdowns against just an interception on 20/33 completions, while rushing for 180 yards and two touchdowns on 22 carries. The Utes are now on a four-game win streak and will look to teach Oregon a lesson again. Last year, the Utes, who also had Rising and Thomas on the roster, beat the Ducks twice, including in the Pac-12 title game, 38-10.

Oregon suffered its first loss since the Ducks’ opener. The Ducks lost to the Washington Huskies last Saturday at home, 37-34, despite having the lead entering the fourth quarter. Nevertheless, Oregon will be a big threat to Utah, especially since the Ducks will be playing at home in the matchup. Sure, the Ducks lost twice to Utah in the last season, but they also did not have Bo Nix as their starting quarterback at that time. Nix has been solid overall for Oregon in 2022, leading the Ducks’ offense that is among the best in scoring production in the nation.
