The Stanford Cardinal have a solid history against the Huskies, taking seven of their last nine games over Washington. However, the Huskies are 4-1 against the spread over the last five meetings and absolutely smacked-down Stanford last season. The Huskies are also having a pretty solid year in 2017, with an 8-1 record going into this big Pac-12 North game in California. Register to bet and make your pick.

Betting on the Washington Huskies 8-1 (-6)
Last year Washington opened up the nation’s eyes by stomping all over Stanford on the way to a playoff appearance. This year they will have to do it on the road.
The only blemish for Washington this season is a 13-7 loss at Arizona State. They were big favourites in that one and given the plethora of one loss teams that probably means they are not going back to the playoffs.
The offense is good but not as explosive as it was a year ago. Jake Browning fits the same mold and so does the running game. There is nothing wrong it is just not as slick as last year.
The defense has been a monster though. They are second in points allowed in what was supposed to be a bit of a rebuilding spot. A secondary that was gutted by the draft has been a strength and teams try to pass a lot because they are almost always playing from behind.
Betting on the Stanford Cardinal 6-3 (+6)
Stanford is having another season of less than great play. When Bryce Love isn’t running the ball there is not a lot to get excited about with this group.
The Cardinal have a limited shot of taking the PAC 12 North. To do so they need to win out and get some help from others. The loss at Wazzu last week was a killer.
A healthy Bryce Love never had less than 140 yards in a game but that is not what we saw last week. He might have ripped off a TD run but the burst wasn’t there and this week he will be facing a much better defense.
Stanford’s own defense is proving a little more leaky than usual too. No more are they punishing folks up front. Nothing is wrong but nothing is elite this season either. Hence 6-3.
Writer’s Prediction
This is an interesting spot for Washington. I have no doubt they are the better team but the Cardinal will be seeking revenge and are good enough to get it. This one has come down from the opener which only makes the Huskies an even easier pick for me. I just don’t see they laying an egg in this spot. Even if Stanford does given them a game Washington winning by a TD against an offense that is miserable throwing the ball is an outcome I can easily support. Pick: Washington (-6)
