D-Rose Injured Again
We begin this week’s review on a somber note. Former league MVP Derrick Rose has gone down with yet another knee injury that will again require surgery.
On the bright side (yes, there is one, Bulls fans, put the sharp objects away), it’s not his previously injured left knee that he hurt. And unlike the ACL he tore, this time he only tore a meniscus.
But still, what a blow. We wish a speedy recovery for D-Rose.
We Will Never Forget
On November 22, America celebrated the anniversary of one of the most shocking, unprecedented events of its history. It was one of those “Where were you when?” moments that will live on in the nation’s collective memory forever.

There must be something in the water in Oklahoma City. Not one, but two Thunder fans (on back-to-back nights, no less) made a half-court shot to win $20,000 each. Featured above is the second fan, Brad Brucker, making his shot. Even Jay-Z gave his daps.

The French had themselves a great week last week. Their football team overturned a 2-0 deficit to defeat Ukraine 3-0 to advance to the 2014 World Cup, which meant that model/weather presenter Doria Tillier needed to pay up on her promise to report the news naked if France won, which she did… sort of.

It’s already a worn out joke that Rick Carlisle is a dead ringer for Jim Carrey. But who knew the Dallas Mavs coach had the comedic acting chops of his famous doppelganger?
