Apparently, we’re now living in a world where Cleveland is home of winners with the exception of the Browns of course. The defending NBA champions Cleveland Cavaliers travel to Toronto later tonight looking to win their second in a row this season. Over in Chicago, the Cleveland Indians look to take a 2-1 series lead in their World Series matchup with the Chicago Cubs.

Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Toronto Raptors (7:00 PM ET)
Line: Cleveland Cavaliers (-2.5) vs. Toronto Raptors (+2.5); total: 204.5 – view all NBA line
The Raptors are at home playing tonight but they have the underdog label as they go up against LeBron James and the Cavaliers. The Cavs are coming off a merciless 117-88 beating of the New York Knicks to kick off their title defense. The Cavs, who shot 47.9 percent from the floor against the Knicks, are 4-2 ATS in their last six games against Toronto. The Raptors, meanwhile, will be leaning on the tandem of Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan. Lowry only had 10 points in a 109-91 win over Detroit on Wednesday, but DeRozan made up for his partner’s poor performance by going off for 40 points. The Raptors are 4-1 ATS in their last five at home versus Cleveland.
Writer’s Prediction
Cleveland (-2.5) wins, 100-90.
Cleveland Indians vs. Chicago Cubs (8:00 PM ET)
Line: Cleveland Indians (+175) vs. Chicago Cubs (-205); total: 7.0 – view all MLB line
The Indians and the Cubs each look to gain the series lead when they square off at Wrigley Field for the first time in this World Series. Cleveland will give the ball to Josh Tomlin, who entered the postseason with an 8-4 record and a 4.31 ERA in 15 road starts. The Cubs, on the other hand, will have Kyle Hendricks on the mound. Hendricks was sensational in the Cubs’ 5-0 win over the Dodgers in Game 6 of the NLCS, tossing 7.1 scoreless innings. The Indians are 3-0 in Tomlin’s last three road starts. The Cubs are 7-3 in Hendricks’ last 10 home starts.
Writer’s Prediction
Chicago (-205) wins, 5-3.
