2015 NFL Week 14 Fantasy Sleepers

DeVante Parker – Wide Receiver, Miami Dolphins

2015 NFL Week 14 Fantasy Football Sleepers

The Miami Dolphins got back on track with a win last Sunday, and they decided to do it on the ground. They passed just 19 times for just 86 yards, but that was still enough for DeVante Parker to make his presence felt.

[sc:NFL240banner ]Parker, who was Miami’s first-round pick in this summer’s draft, has been seizing the opportunity due to the absences of Rishard Matthews (ribs) and Kenny Stills (ankle). He had three catches for a team-high of 63 yards with a touchdown. Prior to this game, the rookie wideout was even more impressive with 80 yards on four receptions and a touchdown agains the Jets.

Week 14 will probably be another strong outing for Parkers as he goes up against a Giant’s defense that is dead last in the NFL with 314.5 passing yards allowed per contest this season.

James White – Running back, New England Patriots

The New England Patriots have been suffering the effects of their injuries. They’ve lost their past two games and are desperately in search for weapons to help them get by for the time being. Fortunately, it looks like they’ve found one in James White.

White’s numbers have gone up and down in the previous three games, but he’s turned out to be the best replacement for their top running back in Dion Lewis, who suffered a season-ending knee injury in Week 9. He finished with 10 receptions for a career-best of 110 yards and a score while rumbling for just four yards on two carries last Sunday. White initially had his breakout outing back in Week 11, during which he had a receiving touchdown and a rushing touchdown versus Buffalo.

Up next on their schedule is a date with the stingy Houston Texans and White might have to work harder to gain some yards in this one. Nevertheless, he’s still worth the start as a flex option especially if his fellow back LeGarrette Blount continues to struggle and tight end Rob Gronkowski remains sidelined.

Will Tye – Tight End, New York Giants

2015 NFL Week 14 Fantasy Football Sleepers

With TE Larry Donnell done for the year, someone from the New York Giants’ roster is bound to take advantage of this opportunity. That someone has turned out to be their rookie Will Tye, who is gradually becoming a reliable target for Eli Manning.

Tye has reached the 70-yard mark in his past two games, wherein he has compiled a total of 144 yards on nine receptions despite still looking for his first-career touchdown. Tye could find some success again this coming week as Miami’s defense has had their share of struggles against tight ends this season.

Brock Osweiler – Quarterback, Denver Broncos

Brock Osweiler may not be as good as the prime version of Peyton Manning but he’s been arguably better than the current one. He is now 3-0 as the Broncos starting quarterback and has passed for 686 yards with four touchdowns and just two picks in that span.

Osweiler should be able to keep the fire burning this week when he goes up against the Oakland Raiders, who have lost four of their past five games and are surrendering 271.1 passing yards per outing this season.

Chris Boswell – Kicker, Pittsburgh Steelers

2015 NFL Week 14 Fantasy Football Sleepers

In dire need of a kicker who can finally produce? Well, Chris Boswell of the Pittsburgh Steelers might just be the guy you’re looking for. Boswell has been lighting up the fantasy scoreboard in his past two games, during which he’s nailed six of his seven field goal attempts and all of five extra points. He’s also two of two on field goal attempts from 50-plus yards this season.

Detroit Lions Defense

The Detroit Lions have to be pretty happy about their final stretch of games that will begin against St. Louis Rams at the Edward Jones Dome this weekend. The Rams have been held to under 20 points in their previous five games as they continue to search for some efficiency on offense. Case Keenum will get the nod to start behind center in this game and is expected to provide a better performance than Nick Foles.

However, Keenum has only thrown for 136 yards in one start this season and it’s quite hard to see him play well against a Detroit defense that really loves to hound opposing quarterbacks.
