One of the marquee games to watch out for in Week 2 will definitely be the divisional showdown between the Denver Broncos and the Kansas City Chiefs. Both teams successfully opened up their seasons with a victory last week and will be looking to build on that momentum for their inevitable bout this coming Thursday night.
The Broncos managed to start the season 1-0 with a 19-13 triumph versus the Ravens in Week 1 even with Peyton Manning not his usual self. Manning was totally unhappy about his performance, as he was limited to just 175 passing yards and zero touchdowns with an interception. The 39-year-old was also sacked four times by a very pesky Baltimore defense.
That said, CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora believes that Kansas City is going to finally win over Manning and the Broncos, while Pete Prisco thinks otherwise.
La Canfora’s choice is not really that surprising since the Chiefs, who are dubbed as a 3.0-point favorite against Denver, are fresh off an all-round solid effort in their win at Houston last week. Their quarterback, Alex Smith, was very efficient, throwing three first-half touchdown passes to give them the 27-9 halftime edge and eventually the game itself. But what’s more intriguing from their collective effort is their defensive line that posted five sacks.
Nevertheless, it won’t be easy to beat the reigning AFC West champions, who have won their last six meetings with the Chiefs. Over that span, Manning has been completely dominant by averaging 289 passing yards per game and has registered a total of 16 touchdowns against three interceptions.

Another promising matchup to watch for in Week 2 should be the New England Patriots visiting the Buffalo Bills at the Ralph Wilson Stadium and FOX Sports would certainly agree to this. The sporting website deems the Patriots, who are the 1.0-favorites, to eventually win this road game; however, they also strongly believe that the home-team, Bills, won’t go down without a fight by making things interesting down to the very last wire.
New England’s Tom Brady will get his second taste of the field this season in an attempt to build on his spectacular performance in their Week 1 win over the Le’Veon Bell-less Pittsburgh Steelers, 28-21. Brady connected for three of his four touchdowns with his favorite target Rob Gronkowski and finished 25-of-32 for a total of 288 yards to lead them to a 1-0 record on the season.
The Bills, on the other hand, will try their best in making things tough for the Patriots’ quarterback just like what they did to Andrew Luck in their 27-14 upset over the Indianapolis Colts in their season opener. Buffalo held Luck to lowly 63.6 passer rating—the fourth-worst in Week 1—and used several defensive tactics to register two sacks on him. Also, Buffalo’s QB Tyrod Taylor impressed in his first career start, going 14-of-19 for 195 yards with a touchdowns and a passer rating of 123.8.
The Patriots are 4-1 SU and 2-3 ATS in their previous five meetings with the Bills.

Of course, Week 2 will not be the same without the 2014 NFC Championship Game rematch between the Seattle Seahawks and the Green Bay Packers
The Seahawks will be searching for their first win of the 2015 NFL season after failing to emerge victorious in their season opener opposite the St. Louis Rams. In that game, they allowed a so-so Rams offense to tally 34 points, which was led by QB Nick Foles, who went 18-of-27 for 297 yards and a touchdown to pull of the 34-31 upset win over the defending NFC champions.
In the Seahawks’ defense though, they were without their formidable safety in Kam Chancellor, which made life easy for St. Louis’ offense to exploit their diminished secondary.
If that remains to be the case, it’s no wonder that Bleacher Report has the Packers successfully managing to cover the posted spread. QB Aaron Rodgers and the rest of his offensive line will likely have their way with the Seahawks on Sunday. Green Bay did exactly that in their 31-23 road win opposite the Chicago Bears in Week 1, during which the 2014 MVP completed 18-of-23 passes for 189 yards with three touchdowns to his name.
The Packers are 9-1 SU and 6-2-2 ATS in their past 10 home games. You can also click here for a full matchup of this game.
