This year’s St. Jude Classic won’t feature a whole lot of big names, which means that the lower-tiered guys will have better opportunities at shining in the event. Allow us to name a few that could possibly bring home the hardwood. Read on!

Kyle Stanley (+3,500)
Even when you consider the brightest stars of the event – Phil Mickelson, Rickie Fowler, etc. – Stanley still has one of the hottest streaks in the tournament, which should be more than enough to name him a very worthy dark horse pick. He has four top 10 finishes on the season, two of which came in his last two events, along with plenty of other performances that saw him land inside the top 30.
Ian Poulter (+5,500)
As we have seen throughout his career, Poulter is usually able when he has momentum and rhythm. Both are definitely in him heading into the event, as he has four T35 finishes or better in his last five, including the T11 at the RBC Heritage and the T2 at the Players Championship.
Kevin Tway (+5,500)
Despite a rather quiet Memorial Tournament, Tway is another guy that we should have our eyes on. He is on some roll as of late, and it’s now hard to ignore. The 28-year-old has five top 20 or better finishes in his last six tournaments, with three being inside the top 3.
Graeme McDowell (+5,500)
McDowell’s going up-and-down for pretty much the whole season, but with many of the stars absent, this could be the event where he is able to come out on the ultimate top. He has eight finishes where he was T30 or better (four were inside the top 15).
Jamie Lovemark (+7,000)
That surname could be enough to pull out the aggressive bettor in you.
All kidding aside, though, Lovemark is another dude that has momentum. He can come out of nowhere and suddenly finish around the T6 spot, which he had done in back-to-back events early in the season (RSM Classic and Sony Open-Hawaii). His last two appearances had him in the T18 and T10.
