Ryan Blaney (+2,500)
How about riding the Ryan Blaney train while it’s hot? Blaney entered last week’s race at Pocono with odds of +2,500 and exited the event with a victory, reaping those who bet on him huge dividends. Will the same happen this weekend? Blaney has raced four times at Michigan International Speedway and finished inside the top 10 once and inside the top 25 twice. That lone top five was his fourth-place finish during last year’s Pure Michigan 400.
Mark Kenseth (+1,500)
Kenseth is finding his rhythm of late and now might be the best time to lay money on the No. 20. By finishing 10th last week at Pocono, Kenseth has extended his streak of top 15 finishes to four races that also includes a fourth-place at Charlotte late May. Don’t also overlook Kenseth’s track record at Michigan. He has 20 top 10 finishes in 35 races he’s had so far in his career there. That’s not to mention that he’s got a better average finish (10.37) than the favorites (Kyle Larson and Martin Truex Jr.) of this weekend’s race.
Joey Logano (+1,000)
Logano has taken a step back after he topped the Toyota Owners 400 back in April, finishing no better than 21st in any of the five races that succeeded that victory at Richmond International Speedway. But a turnaround could happen this weekend. Logano has performed significantly well at the Michigan International Speedway in his career. In fact, he’s finished inside the top 10 in all of his last seven races. And then of course, he’s the defending champion of the FireKeepers Casino 400, having won it last year.
