FAVORITES:

Rory McIlroy (+750)

McIlroy needs just a Masters win to complete a career majors grand slam, and there seems to be no better time for bettors to lay money on him to take home the green jacket this year than in 2019. The Northern Irishman has been on fire this season, He hasn’t finished worse than a T9 in his last eight starts, which includes a win at THE PLAYERS Championship last month, He followed it up with a T9 at the World Golf Championships-Dell Technologies Match Play. McIlroy’s best finish at the Masters is a fourth-place back in 2015.

Dustin Johnson (+1,000)

Johnson is a constant threat to win in Augusta — or in most PGA Tour events for that matter. Johnson is a very good play for anyone looking to bet on the Masters, and that’s despite the fact that he is coming off an underwhelming T40 finish at the World Golf Championships-Dell Technologies Match Play. After all, he has three top-10 finishes at the Masters in eight starts. He had a T4 in 2016 before skipping the 2017 edition of the event due to an unfortunate back injury. Johnson has a win and five top-10 finishes in eight starts on the season.

HIGH VALUE SLEEPERS:

Brandt Snedeker (+6,000)

For a +6,000 price, Snedeker isn’t a bad play at all.  For one, he’s a season veteran in Augusta during this time of the year. He has participated in the Masters 10 times, and made seven-straight appearances in the event before an unsuccessful bid to qualify last year. Over that seven-year span, Snedeker made the cut six times and even made four top 20 appearances. He came close to adding the green jacket to his wardrobe in 2008 when he finished third.

Charley Hoffman (+6,000)

Hoffman has yet to miss the cut in Augusta in five career starts in the Masters, and he seems to be rounding into form to make us believe he’s going to make it six out of six. Hoffman has been wobbly of late, as he’s missed the cut in six of his last 10 starts, but he gave himself a shot in the arm with a momentum-swinging second-place finish at the Valero Texas Open.

LONG SHOT

Vijay Singh (+30,000)

The 56-year-old Fiji native isn’t inspiring anyone with his overall play this season, as he has been cut in four events he’s started thus far, but hey, he’s a former champion who ruled the field in Augusta way back in 2000. There’s also some flashes of brilliance this season for Singh, as evidenced by a sixth-place finish at the Honda Classic last month.

Writer’s Prediction

Rory McIlroy finally gets his green jacket.
