Bleacher Report (Zach Buckley)

Zach Buckley’s predictions for the first 10 picks of the first round are pretty much what you’d expect from most other mock drafts. Joe Burrows going to the Cincinnati Bengals is arguably the most predictable of them Long before the LSU Tigers won the national title in the NCAA, the Burrows and the Bengals were already being linked to each other. The Bengals tanked hard in 2019 to get the No. 1 pick overall at the 2020 NFL Draft, and with Andy Dalton seemingly on his way out of Cincy, the Bengals need a new face under center.

Team to pick Pick
Cincinnati Bengals Joe Burrow
Washington Redskins Chase Young
Detroit Lions Jeff Okudah
New York Giants Mekhi Becton
Miami Dolphins Tua Tagovailoa
Los Angeles Chargers Justin Herbert
Carolina Panthers Isaiah Simmons
Arizona Cardinals Tristan Wirfs
Jacksonville Jaguars Derrick Brown
Cleveland Browns Jedrick Wills Jr

Walter Football (.com)

Again, we have a Joe Burrow going to the Bengals prediction over here, with Walter Football saying it’s “fairly obvious” what Cincinnati’s top agenda is in Paradise, Nevada. As for the other quarterbacks, Walter Football thinks that the Detroit Lions will be trading down with the Los Angeles Chargers, thus giving the latter the No. 3 spot in the draft. With the third-pick overall, the Chargers, as projected by Walter Football, will select former Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner Tua Tagovailoa. The Chargers just parted ways with long-time QB Philip Rivers, who’s now with the Indianapolis Colts, and while LA still has Tyrod Taylor, it’s unlikely to have much future success with him. Tagovailoa will give the Chargers a beacon of hope at the position.

Carolina Panthers Derrick Brown
Arizona Cardinals Jedrick Wills Jr
Jacksonville Jaguars Isaiah Simmons
Cleveland Browns Mekhi Becton

CBS Sports (Chris Trapasso)

For CBS’ Chris Trapasso, Tagovailoa will land with the Dolphins. Which makes sense. The Dolphins need stability under center, as they now only have Ryan Fitzpatrick and Josh Rosen. Fitzpatrick is 37 and is not going to be down in South Beach for the long haul, while Rosen hasn’t panned out (yet?). Another QB going off the board in the first round in Trapasso’s projection is Oregon Ducks program product Justin Herbert, who’ll be groomed by the Chargers as its next franchise signal-caller.
