You’ve got Jim Caldwell and his toothless Lions. You’ve got Mike McCoy and his now lack excuses in San Diego.

Writer’s Prediction:
The San Diego Chargers have been a team full of promise for years. Then 2010 hit and the team has spiraled out of control ever since. They did have one playoff win under McCoy’s watch in 2013, but they’ve never been deep enough for a legitimate run.
Well, there’s that argument OR they absolutely have been deep enough and M&M just couldn’t get it done.
Every year under the new(er) guidance of general manager Tom Telesco the team has added new legs at virtually every position and stayed deep in most spots. They’ve never had the mojo to make it to the playoff dojo since 2013 though. This comes down to the coach sadly.
As mentioned earlier, Mike McCoy is now out of excuses. He cleaned house with his assistants last season, in attempt to differ the blame. Now he has nowhere to hide and with a built up AFC West, the team is yet again in big trouble.
Watch for San Diego to maybe win one of their first five games and then watch for Mike McCoy to look for a new job.
Writer’s Pick:
San Diego Chargers head coach Mike McCoy at +550
