Chicago Bulls vs. Cleveland Cavaliers (8:00 PM ET)
Line: Chicago Bulls (TBA) at Cleveland Cavaliers (TBA) – view all NBA lines
The Cleveland Cavaliers extended their winning streak to three games with a 90-82 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans Monday night. LeBron James scored 26 points for the short-handed Cavs who were missing the services of All-Star guard Kyrie Irving. The defending NBA champions have now won 13 of their last 15 games.
They will look to sustain the momentum of that huge win when they lock horns with the Chicago Bulls tonight. The Bulls are coming off a morale-boosting 118-111 victory over the Charlotte Hornets. Jimmy Butler scored a season-high 52 points to help the Bulls break their two-game losing skid. He will need to step it up a notch tonight with Dwyane Wade still suffering from knee swelling.
The Bulls are 3-0 ATS in their last three road games against the Cavs.
Writer’s Prediction
Cleveland wins but Chicago covers.
Portland Trail Blazers vs. Golden State Warriors (10:30 PM ET)
Line: Portland Trail Blazers (+15.5) at Golden State Warriors (-15.5); total: 224.5 – view all NBA lines
The Golden State Warriors will put their three-game winning streak on the line when they lock horns with the Portland Trail Blazers at the Oracle Arena later tonight. The Warriors are coming off an impressive 127-119 victory over the Denver Nuggets on Monday. Draymond Green registered his second triple-double of the season for the Warriors who moved two games clear of the San Antonio Spurs atop the Western Conference standings.
Green and the rest of the Warriors will be licking their chops at the prospect of facing a Portland side that’s third-worst in the NBA in scoring defense, allowing a whopping 110.9 points per game this season. For the Blazers to record a major shock tonight, they will need to get a huge performance from C.J. McCollum. He scored a career-high 43 points in Sunday’s win against Minnesota. McCollum has stepped up big time in Damian Lillard’s four-game absence, averaging 36.5 points during that span.
The Warriors are 9-1 SU and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 home games against the Blazers.
Writer’s Prediction
Golden State (-15.5) not only wins but also covers the spread against Portland.
