Betting on the Chicago Bulls (ODDS)
Regular Season Record: 33-37
The Bulls stayed hot with a 113-99 victory over the Miami Heat at home last Saturday. Chicago has now won four of their last five games and both of their last two, with the other win being a 139-131 overtime marathon at home over the Minnesota Timberwolves last Friday. The Bulls will look to hit while the iron is hot, especially on offense, having averaged a sizzling 122.2 points on 50.9 percent shooting from teh field and 41.7 percent shooting from deep over their last five games. Chicago win the last meeting with the Sixer back in January on the road, 126-112, with Zach LaVine going of for 41 points.
The Bulls are 4-1 against the spread in their last five outings.
Betting on the Philadelphia 76ers (ODDS)
Regular Season Record: 48-22
Even without James Harden, the 76ers got the job done last Saturday in a 141-121 road win over the Indiana Pacers. Fortunately for the Sixers, they still have Joel Embiid healthy, as the MVP candidate posted 31 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists in the Indiana game to weather the absence of Harden. There’s no guarantee at the moment that Harden will play this Monday, but in any case, Embiid will be a huge problem for Chicago. Another stud for the Sixers is Tyrese Maxey, who also had 31 points in the Pacers game for Philadelphia, which is third in the NBa with just 110.3 points allowed per game.
The Sixers are 4-0 against the spread in their last four games.
Writer’s Prediction
The Sixers win, 116-107.
