Houston Texans vs Los Angeles Rams Predictions, Picks, Odds and Betting Preview – NFL Week 10 2017

The Texans were the biggest dog of the week at +12 against the Rams, but moved to +11.5 while the Browns lay claim to that status as +12.5 to the Lions. This is a good one to bet on, as Los Angeles hasn’t laid 10 or more points at all in the last three seasons while Houston has already covered as the underdog once this season (against the New England Patriots).

Betting on the Houston Texans (3-5)

Point Spread: (+11.5)

Before the start of the game against the Colts, backup quarterback Tom Savage was ready to showcase why he deserves a chance in the NFL and was told he was going the throw the ball often. It was true, Savage did throw the ball 44 times against the Colts but was only able to connect on 19 of those throws to his wide receivers.

With a 15.3 QBR, Savage is no Watson as he finished the game with 229 passing yards Houston must be able to rely on the run as they have two great running backs on their roster with Lamar Miller and D’Onta Freeman. Together they combined for 94 rushing yards in the loss.

Savage must be able to complete the short throws as now they head to Los Angeles to take on the Rams who have one of the best defenses in the league, oh and another best offense. Houston we have a problem.

Betting on the Los Angeles Rams (6-2)

Point Spread: (-11.5)

The Los Angeles Rams are always questioned every single week as some coaches and analysis have yet to jump on the Rams bandwagon. After this week, it is very safe to say the Los Angeles Rams are for real. With the best offense in the league, the Rams dropped 51 points on the New York Giants as they embarrassed them in front of the strong 15 thousands fans who showed up in the rain

.

It was an one sided game from the start as Aaron Donald stripped sack quarterback Eli Manning to begin the game as the offense went into drive from there. Quarterback Jared Goff had his best game yet as a member of the Rams as he threw for 331 passing yards and four touchdowns. Fun Fact: He only threw the ball for 19 times and only completed 14 of those throws.

In conclusion, each completed pass had an average of 23 yards on it. Goff got the long ball all game long as he connected with Watkins and Woods twice on big throws.

Sammy Watkins has been ready to finally have a role in the offense as he torched the Giants secondary for a 67 yard touchdown. His partner in crime Robert Woods caught a short screen on 3rd and 33 and took it to the house for a 52 yard touchdown.

Writer’s Prediction:

Tom Savage against a top defense. Los Angeles against a weak defense. Hmmm…The Los Angeles Rams are the best team in the NFC West.. Pick: Rams (-11.5)
