Betting Preview for the Golden State Warriors vs Houston Rockets NBA Regular Season Game on March 20, 2023

Where: Toyota Center, Houston, Texas

When: Monday, March 20, 2023, 8:00 PM ET

Line: Golden State Warriors (ODDS) vs. Houston Rockets (ODDS) – view all 2020-21 NBA lines

TV Broadcast: ESPN

Betting on the Golden State Warriors (ODDS)

Regular Season Record: 36-36

The Warriors saw their winless streak extend to three games after falling prey to the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday on the road, 133-119. Their poor form away from Chase Center has been a major issue for Golden State all season long, but perhaps against a team bound for the lottery, that particular struggle will not show up for Golden State, which is still second in the NBA with 118.3 points per game. The Warriors have beaten Houston three times this season, including one at Toyota Center back in November, 127-120. Klay Thompson erupted for 41 points in that game, while Stephen Curry had 33.

The Warriors are 9-1 straight up in their last 10 meetings with Houston.

Betting on the Houston Rockets (ODDS)

Regular Season Record: 18-52

Houston is shocking the rest of the NBA with its current form. The Rockets are on a three-game undefeated run, as they defeated the Boston Celtics (111-119), Los Angeles Lakers (114-110), and the New Orleans Pelicans (114-112) in their last three outings. Over that span, the Rockets have averaged 113.0 points while shooting 48.7 percent from the field. Kevin Porter Jr. has been instrumental for Houston in that stretch, having shot 51.2 percent from the field for an average of 20.3 points. Houston is also catching the Warriors at a good time, with Golden State seemingly clueless on how to get out of its slump on the road.

The Rockets are 3-0 against the spread in their last three games.

The total has hit the Under in each of those outings.

Writer’s Prediction

The Warriors win, 131-120.
