Bettors aren’t too happy with these two teams as we enter the finale of the 2017 regular season. The Miami Dolphins are 2-6-2 against the spread over their last 10 games, while the Buffalo Bills have covered in only three of their last eight meetings. That being said, the Bills have had a respectable showing as a favorite, having won and covered five of their last six games as the chalk. When it comes to the Dolphins wearing the underdog hat, their record is not so kind, dropping three straight (SU and ATS) when the opponent is favored between 2.5-3.5, as it is here as they host the Bills in Week 17.
The Buffalo Bills have the chance to finish the season with eight wins and losses on the year as they go up against the Miami Dolphins. The Bills have had a roller coaster of a season as they have gone through some quarterback changes, but now know that was a mistake to take out Tyrod Taylor.
Tyrod Taylor and his running back LeSean McCoy were unable to beat their rivals of the New England Patriots as they fell by the final score of 37-16. After an awful call by the refs early in the game, the Bills could not get their momentum back up as the running game fell flat late in the game.
Buffalo is a run first team, hence anytime they start to fall behind big, they have to take out one of their best players. In the loss McCoy finished with 76 rushing yards and 71 receiving yards. Given some help next year, Buffalo might be able to compete in the AFC, but for right now they will barely get by the Dolphins.
After their upset win against the New England Patriots, the Miami Dolphins have fallen completely off the earth as they have suffered back to back tough losses. In their most recent loss, the Dolphins got beat down by the Kansas City Chiefs as they lost 29-13.
The Dolphins would start the game well exactly how they did against the New England Patriots, but fell flat in the 2nd half as the Chiefs would score 17 unanswered points in the victory.
Miami could not get the running game going as well, as the 2nd half running back star of the Dolphins Drake only finished with 57 rushing yards. He only rushed the ball 13 times as he needed more touches in this game. It was an awful game by the Dolphins as they could not stop the Chiefs offense. Miami would allow 400 yards of offense as Hunt and Hill for Kansas City would have a career game.
Writer’s Prediction
The Buffalo Bills have more weapons on offense and defense and will get another win against the Dolphins. I can see this one getting out of hand as the Bills along with McCoy will run all over the Miami Dolphins Pick: Bills (-2.5)
