Betting on the Villanova Wildcats – Final Four 2018

Point Spread: (-5)

There’s just no defense that Villanova respects. After passing the test against West Virginia, the Wildcats solved another elite defense in the Elite Eight, as they beat Texas Tech, 71-59, on Sunday. The Wildcats paraded their wide array of offensive weapons with five players scoring at least 11 points. Interestingly, the Wildcats finally got salty from long distance against the Red Raiders. After knocking down 44 threes in the first three games of the tournament on 47.8 percent shooting, the Wildcats went just 4-for-24 against the Red Raiders. That’s credit to Texas Tech’s defense, too, but the Red Raiders were doomed also by their bad job on the glass. The Wildcats owned TTU in the rebounding battle, 51-33, including 20 offensive rebounds. Wildcats forward Eric Paschall, who had a double-double of 12 points and 14 rebounds against the Red Raiders, will be very much needed by the Wildcats down low to contain Udoka Azubuike of the Jayhawks.

Betting on the Kansas Jayhawks – Final Four 2018

Point Spread: (+5)

Kansas relied mostly on the exploits of sophomore guard Malik Newman in a huge 85-81 win over Duke on Sunday, as the Jayhawks propel themselves to a spot in the Final Four. Newman torched the Blue Devils with 32 points, including all of Kansas’ 13 points in overtime, while three other Jayhawks scored in double figures. Kansas continues to bring the party outside, as they shot 13 three-pointers against Duke. That brings the Jayhawks’ total to 39 three-pointers in this tournament. They also have shot 41.2 percent or better in three of their last f our games. Kansas shot 36.1 percent on their threes against Duke. The Jayhawks will always try to knock down shots from long distance, and they are one of the few teams who could match Villanova’s firepower. The Jayhawks averaged 81.3 points per game on 49.5 percent shooting back in the regular season.
