Under new head coach Mike Vrabel and heading into Year 4 of the Marcus Mariota era, the Tennessee Titans look to build on their playoff appearance last season. They have yet to take flight this preseason, having lost both their matches prior to this Saturday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but there’s still time for them to impress before the regular season kicks off. As for the Pittsburgh Steelers, they just want to see consistency. They blew out the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 1 of the preseason, but were decimated by the Green Bay Packers in the next game.
The Titans are +375 to win the AFC South, while the Steelers have odds of +475 to rule the entire conference.

Betting on the Tennessee Titans (+4)
Titans new head coach Mike Vrabel is a former linebacker with the New England Patriots, but his background in defense does not seem to have any influence on Tennessee based on the team’s first two games of the season. The Titans, who are 0-2 SU so far in these exhibition games, have allowed 61 points over their last two preseason contests. That includes a 30-14 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at home on Aug. 18. Their offense needs some work, too, as the Titans has put up only 31 points over the same stretch. Wide receiver Taywan Taylor, meanwhile, was amazing in the loss to the Bucks, catching four passes for 95 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Taylor is among those expected to step up in the absence of Rishard Matthews due to an undisclosed injury.
The under is 3-1 in the Titans’ last four road games in the preseason.
Betting on the Pittsburgh Steelers (-4)
With the uncertainty of when exactly Le’Veon Bell will return to Pittsburgh, it’s a bit comforting for Pittsburgh fans to see that backup James Conner is doing well in the preseason. If Bell will miss any regular season games, Conner will get the starting duties, and he showed what he’s capable of when he rushed for 57 yards and a touchdown on just five carries, albeit in a 51-37 loss to the Green Bay Packers on Aug. 16. Another youngster that impressed in that game for the Steelers was rookie wide receiver James Washington, who pulled down five catches and turned them into 114 yards and two touchdowns. Granted it’s just a preseason game, but imagine what more can he do if it was Ben Roethlisberger throwing him the ball. Roethlisberger did not play against Green Bay, but he’s expected to suit up this coming Saturday.
The Steelers are 4-2 ATS in their last six preseason contests.
