It’s the Montreal Alouettes turn to host the Edmonton Eskimos. The Alouettes opened their season with a loss to Edmonton, but they look like a more dangerous team this time around after seemingly getting into a rhythm. Will the Eskimos score another victory over Montreal? Or will the Alouettes avenge their loss to Edmonton? Going into the game the sportsbook favors the visiting team by 4.5-points.

Betting on Edmonton Eskimos (3-1)
The Eskimos entered a bye in Week 4 coming off their first loss of the season, as they fell victims to the Winnipeg Blue Bomber on the road in Week 3, 28-21. The Eskimos gathered themselves during the break and bounced back strong by crushing the BC Lions on the road, 33-6. The Eskimos will have their third-straight game away from home when they pay Montreal a visit. The under is 5-1 in Edmonton’s last six road games. The Eskimos own the psychological advantage over the Alouettes heading into Saturday’s matchup. After all, they beat Montreal at home back in Week 1 at home, 32-25. Quarterback Trevor Harris exploited Montreal’s leaky pass defense, as he unloaded 447 passing yards and three touchdowns with zero interceptions on 32-of-41 completions. That could very well be the story again this Saturday, as Montreal is last in the league in pass defense with 372.0 passing yards allowed per contest.
Edmonton is 5-0 against the spread (ATS) in its last five games in Montreal.
Betting on Montreal Alouettes (2-2)
Montreal has finally turned the corner. After two consecutive losses to kick off the season, they scored their first win in Week 4 against the Hamilton Tiger-Cats at home before taking down the Ottawa Redblacks in Week 5 on the road, 36-19. The Alouettes’ offense has picked up, as they have averaged 36 points in their last two games. During their two losses, they only put up an average of 14.5 points. Vernon Adams Jr. had a pedestrian output of 134 passing yards to go with a touchdown and an interception on just 7-for-10 completions in the loss to Edmonton but was far from that form in their last game, as he completed 23 of 30 passes for a 327-yard explosion and a pair of touchdowns without an interception against the Redblacks. Also, the rushing attack of Montreal is keeping opponents from focusing too much on Adams and his receivers. In fact, Montreal is tops in the league with an average of 168.3 rushing yards per game.
Montreal is 5-1 ATS in its last five home games.
Writer’s Prediction
