The Miami Dolphins are being more abused on the field than the real dolphins in aquatic parks. One could only imagine how low the morale must be for Fins players after two-straight losses in devastating fashion to open the season. Can they dig deep enough in themselves and put up a much more competitive fight against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 3? Or will Dallas whip Miami? Going into the game, NFL Futures price the Cowboys with +1200 odds to win the 2020 Super Bowl, while the Dolphins are not considered to be in contention, sitting at the bottom of the sportsbook with +200,000 odds to take Super Bowl 54.

Betting on the Miami Dolphins (0-2)
Miami games have been so brutal this season, the NFL might just label their upcoming contests with a Parental Guidance mark. After getting thrashed by the Baltimore Ravens in Week 1, 59-10, the Dolphins got mauled once again last Sunday, this time to the New England Patriots at home in a 43-0 loss. The Dolphins are not even trying to hide their intent to tank their way to a No. 1 pick in next year’s NFL Draft. The Dolphins can hide their diabolical ways a bit by starting Josh Allen in Week 3 than continue putting Ryan Fitzpatrick under center. Fitzpatrick was easily the worst quarterback to take the field in all of Week 2. He passed for 89 yards on 11 of 21 completions and threw for three interceptions. Rosen stepped in when Fitzpatrick was pulled out of the game and he also threw an interception. The truth is that it doesn’t matter who starts for Miami. The team is built to struggle, but can they at least cover the spread against the Cowboys?
Let’s just leave you with this: the Fins have covered the spread in the only time in the past in which they were underdogs by at least 19 points. That was in 2007, when they lost to the Patriots in Foxboro (28-7) as a 22-point underdog.
Betting on the Dallas Cowboys (2-0)
Dak Prescott is still waiting for an extension deal offer that would satisfy his camp from the Cowboys management, but his play so far this season speaks highly about how much he deserves it. Last Sunday, Prescott went 26 for 30 for 269 passing yards and three touchdowns against an interception in a 31-21 road win over the Washington Redskins. Through two weeks of the 2019 NFL season, Prescott has collected 674 passing yards, seven touchdowns, and just an interception for a 93.2 quarterback rating — the best among all qualified players. Prescott can continue piling up the good numbers in Week 3 against the Dolphins’ defense, which has been as tough and dependable as a wet paper bag. Ezekiel Elliott also stands to eat a lot of yards on the ground. The Dolphins let New England get 126 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Miami currently has the worst defense against the run this year with 195.5 rushing yards allowed per game.
The Cowboys are 3-0 straight up (SU) and 3-0 against the spread (ATS) in their last three home games.
Writer’s Prediction
The Cowboys win, 39-13.
