Just when you thought Bowyer was about to turn things around for good when he finished second at the Food City presents the Supermarket Heroes 500, he then put together two straight mediocre performances with a 20th-place finish at the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 followed by a 17th-place at Blue-Emu Maximum Pain Relief 500 last Wednesday. So what’s his selling point to bettors for the upcoming Dixie Vodka 400 race? Well, Bowyer has been a solid performer at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Although he has not won there yet, Bowyer has a trio of top 5s and eight top 10s and 11 top 20s in 14 total races at the said track. In his last appearance at the Homestead-Miami Speedway, Bowyer went sixth during the 2019 Ford EcoBoost 400.
Like Bowyer, Dillon doesn’t have a win to show at the Homestead-Miami Speedway and is coming off a bad performance at the Blue-Emu Maximum Pain Relief 500, wherein he finished just 37th overall. Dillon seemed to have just lost steam, failing to hit the crescendo after gaining momentum with three-straight top 11s in the previous races. Nevertheless, Dillon could hit the mark in Southbeach this coming weekend, as he’s been decent in most of his six times he’s raced at the Homestead-Miami Speedway before. Dillon has cracked the top 15 five times and top 11 thrice there. His best finish at the track came last year, when he went eighth at 2019 Ford EcoBoost 400. Dillon’s career average finish at Homestead-Miami Speedway is 13.5.
Since getting recalled back to action as a replacement for the fired Kyle Larson, Kenseth has not made much noise. He made a solid season debut by finishing 10th at the Real Heroes 400 at Darlington Raceway last month but has failed to eclipse that performance in any of the six races that succeeded. However, he seems to have a great chance to finish inside the top 10 this weekend, as he’s finished no worse than eighth in eight of his past nine appearances at the Homestead-Miami Speedway, dating back to 2010.
